National Public Health Week
In celebration of [National Public Health Week], the Florida Public Health Association and the UF Public Health Student Association invites you to an interactive, one-day Climate & Heat Training focused on real-world, community-facing solutions.
This training brings together the Climate Ambassador Training and Heat Awareness Training to explore the connections between climate, heat, and health. Participants will gain practical tools to communicate climate-health risks, prevent and respond to heat-related illness, and support community-level resilience and preparedness.
Designed for public health professionals, students, community-based organizations, advocates, and educators, this in-person experience emphasizes actionable strategies that can be applied immediately in local settings. Attendees will leave with increased confidence, evidence-based resources, and concrete approaches to advance climate and heat resilience in the communities they serve.” 5 CEUs offered.
