Team 3 Leaders
This team is working on Recommendation #3—“Promoting Nurses’ Health and Well-Being.” Team #3 is researching the many opportunities available to address nurses’ health and well-being. A reference guide or toolkit is being developed and will be provided to stakeholders.

Team 8 Leader
Team #8 is working on Recommendation #8 - To enable nurses to address inequities within communities, federal agencies and other key stakeholders within and outside the nursing profession should strengthen and protect the nursing workforce during the response to such public health emergencies as the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters, including including challenges to climate change.

Team 7 Leader
Nursing Ed Workshop in Tallahassee
Team #7 is working on Recommendation #7, “Strengthening Nursing Education.” Team #7 is working with the Center for Nursing in originating a meeting earlier this year in Tallahassee to bring together nurse leaders and interested parties to discuss the state of nursing in Florida and discuss strategies to increase the number of nurses and improve the NCLEX pass rates.
FNA Proposal: Bolstering the BON
Team #7 recently presented a reference proposal at the Florida Nurses Association membership meeting on “Bolstering the Florida Board of Nursing to Support Increasing First-Time Pass Rates and the Supply of Registered Nurses for the Health and Welfare of State Residents.”
